Regarding Disabled 19 yr old child

Can you tell me if there are deductions I can take?
My 19 yr old daughter has mental challenges and I support her fully am I
missing a deduction. She does not recieve SSI.

She would be your dependent for sure, and if you are single, you can file as
head-of-household.

Her medical expenses could be claimed as an itemized deduction.

If by mental challenges you mean she has mental impairments (e.g.,
mental/emotional illness, mental retardation, etc.) that are so severe that
she truly cannot maintain what Social Security calls "substantial gainful
activity" (i..e, competitive work), she would likely qualify for disability
benefits.

If her documented impairments extend back into childhood, she (you) would
have qualified for benefits during her growing up years as well.

Talk to SS-- or see an SS attorney. They'll talk to you for free and
represent you for free. They work on a contingent fee basis-- no benefits,
no cost to you.
