Reviewing journaled receipts

D

Dan Rishworth

Is there an easy way to go through journaled reciepts with out having to
choose a batch and go in and out of the lookup screen?

This works fine when you know the customer or transaction number but
when we want to review the receipts for the day it is a cumbersome
process of going in and out of the lookup window.

Is there a way to just tab from receipt to receipt?

Alternatively, when reviewing a sales report, is there a way to lookup
the transaction an item was sold on? If all we know is that is was sold
on 1 Sept 06, then we have to check each receipt to find the sale.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

PageDown moves to the next receipt
PageUp moves to the previous receipt
Ctrl + Right Arrow moves to the next page (of a multi page receipt)
Ctrl + Left Arrow moves to the previous page

It depends on the report. The Detailed Sales Report includes the
Transaction Number, but it is not displayed by default - go to show/hide
columns and make sure "transaction" is checked. When you move your
mouse over the transaction number, it will change to a magnifying glass
- it you then double click, it will open That receipt in journal viewer.

It sure would Save Glenn a lot of typing if MS documented these keystrokes
in the manual for end-users! Or better yet - how about on-screen context
related hints. This way after Glenn teaches us, we don't have to teach
everyone else in our stores.

Ahhhhh ... you are so correct. My apologies to MS!

I swear I did look at and even read MOST of the documentation ;)
