Canada RRSP/HBP question

I hope to use up all room I have in my RRSP. That said, if I have approx. 5,500 in room as per CRA can I make a full contribution of 5,500...and still repay my 1000 for Home Buyers Plan annual repayment On top of this 5,500? Or, do I need to deduct the 1000 from the total room allocated, and therefore only contribute approximately 4,500 this year?
