I have recently filed Chapter 7 in CA. A week before my initial 341
meeting, I received an Ex Parte Motion for Rule 2004 Examination and
to Produce Documents from the Trustee asking for the last 18 months of
my credit card statements and a separate meeting. My attorney has
told me that my case is very straight forward and seemed surprised at
this and told me that the rules are already changing through
"backdoor" reform - despite reforms in Congress not yet becoming a
reality.
I have no issues with this at all but I am curious of others'
experiences. Has anyone else encountered this? And, what can I
expect from this type of meeting?
Thank you!
