I have a Pennsylvania s-corp which I was using for a few years. I no longer want to use it. Can I just stop earning money though it and leave it alone or do I need to officially close it?

Ok I understand that, for the time being I should get paid to my personal bank account and use my SSN number instead of the EIN? and I would only be responsible for filing the s-corp annual tax return? This year I would close all the accounts related to the company ie. Bank account, credit card, etc ....? and on the next return I would put everything as zero and mark final return?

The sooner you file a final return the sooner you can close the corp.

I understand, but I need to get my tax clearance certificate from the state first. In the time being if I use my own name and SSN, all I have to do is file a zero income tax report for the s-corp right?
