sage line 50 "imports"

Does anyone here import their data from their own billling system to sage
line 50 on a daily basis?

We use our own web based billing system with an interface for people to log
in, check their invoices change their details online etc etc.
We bought line 50 and we managed to import the data from our billing system
to it.
We are just wondering wether we're doing it right, if there are known issues
about doing this this way etc

Our current accountant has never used this import feature before so he is
not much help.

Did you look in the manual ?

And Sage told you what ?

That doesnt mean he couldnt if asked.

I forgot to write in the main question which was how to have the imports
automated every day or every week.

We are using sage 50 version 10 and it says that it can handles the
automated imports however we have not found out how.

We have met with the accoutant and asked him but he has never done it and he
can't help us with the imports. Sage have been helpful up to a point. (We
have signed up for the cover.)



I think the people who develop sage know what we want to use but I think
becuase it is new it's hard to find people who know what we re talking
about.

I might as well mention too that also for some reason the "lloyd link" bank
statement import doesnt seem to work any more on version 10 (we had it
working fine on version 9). Do you use that too?

We asked sage on the phone but we were put on hold for ages and had to leave
just as someone else picked up.

Thanks for your reply Rob, the company turnover is < 1Million, hopefully
will be around 1 million next year end.
I will have more time next week to hang on the phone to sage and find out
wether/how we can automated the actual sales ledger data imports.
