SBA Integration with Adobe Acrobat

There should be some integration between SBA and Adobe Acrobat. It is a common request from our customers to receive invoices in PDF format for printing, in SBA when you email an invoice it sends it from Word as an OLE object not as an attachment. This poses a couple of issues in that typically when I email an invoice it CC it to an email enabled SharePoint Document Library. SharePoint only looks for attachments and doesn't recognize OLE Objects and therefore ignores the emailed copy of the invoice.

When you installed Adobe Acrobat, did you select to
install the PDF printer driver as well? If so, you
can create a PDF file of your invoices by going to
File --> Print and choosing Adobe PDF as the printer.

That works, but it's not sufficient. For example, you lose the integration
with the email address, so now you've got to go look up the customer record
and copy/paste the email address.

Also, it requires that you purchase Acrobat pro. I too wish that
integration with Acrobat was better.

I haven't tried this, but it seems to be what you're looking for:

Thanks, but you misunderstand... I already have acrobat... I just want SBA
to support it. I shouldn't have to work around limitations for "standard"
(in the small biz accounting market) features.

I understand now. I think you have QuickBooks's email feature
in mind. Let's hope Microsoft adds this feature too in future
versions. (If not, I am sure Adobe will have a plug-in for it
in future versions of Acrobat.)
