second submission-unable to open Money archive

I inadvertently deleted the response to the following:

"My operating system is Windows Vista. I'm using Microsoft Money 2007
Home and Business. I previously used Microsoft Money 2003 Deluxe and
Business.

Here's the problem: I tried opening an archive from the year 2002 and I
receive a message that the file cannot be opened. The file was archived
using MS Money 2003.

What do I need to do to be able to use my archives made in MSM v2003 in
MSM v2007?

Thanks!
Kay "

Also, I wanted to add, when I first started with Windows Vista I was
able to access the archived files. It was only after I uninstalled
McAfee that I'm not unable to access the archives. I wouldn't know if
there is any relationship. I would think not but thought I should
mention it.

Thanks again,
Kay

A neat way to find prior postings in this group is to use the
Google Usenet Groups archive.

http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search enter words that you
think would be in relevant posts into the "all of the words" box.
Enter microsoft.public.money into the newsgroup box. Consider
selecting Sort By Date.

See below:

I would not have expected the problem. You could try salv.exe level
2 to try to make a repaired version of the file.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919524/en-us talks about converting
a Money 2002 file, but the method may be useful to you.

If you decide to install the temporary Money 2004 trial, you might
want to do the conversion on a different computer so that you don't
need to uninstall Money 2007 in the process.

When you get the file open, I would remove any Passport on the
Archive file.

Make sure your Money version is 16.0.150.1303. You might want to
reinstall Money. In fact, that may be the place to start.
