can someone explain the section 179 tax deduction to me? i am looking to purchase a used piece of equipment (new to me) and the broker is pushing this 179 deduction on me almost like an incentive and says that if i buy a piece of equipment at $150,000 it will cost me $101,000 at tax time because of all of the deductions etc... ???
