Advice needed please ! My partner has been working in Germany for a number of years and wss on a German contract. He was made redundant and has been receiving his redundancy payment monthly, which is spread over the next 2 years. He has now found a job back in the uk. Can he continue to receive the monthly payments and continue paying into his German pension, or is it possible to take the remainder as a lump sum ? What are the tax implicatications. If we kept the monthly payments do we still pay tax in Germany.? Would tax on a possible lump sum be paid in Germany or the Uk ? Tried speaking to his old firms HR but they weren't interested in helping.
Thanks
