Share "Activities" - Dividends

When recording an activity with shares, one can select "Buy, Sell, Dividend
etc" . I wish to be able to diffirentiate between two types of dividends:
Franked and Unfranked. Does anyone know how to add / split details about a
dividend??? This would be really, really useful for tax purposes (Australia).
Thanks

I suspect the Franked and Unfranked may correspond to Qualified and
Non-Qualified dividends in the US. There is no direct support.

However, you can add a memo to the dividend. You could customize the
Tax-related Transactions report to select only entries that contain
a given memo by using the "Text" tab. Save your customized reports
as Favorites, giving them appropriate names.

Hi there,

I use Money 2001 in the UK. When recording what I shall term a normal
dividend, which will be included in my tax return, I select Dividend then
enter the relevant details. I also receive dividends from Personal Equity
Plans (PEPs), which are not taxable and to differentiate them in my Income v
Spending Report and deal with them as follows. I have set up a sub-category
under Investment Income called "PEP Dividends". When I wish to record such a
dividend in the register I select "Other Income", which brings up columns
allowing me to select "Investment Income" and "PEP Dividends". I think this
will work for you also.
