Hi Richard,

To select the Word template you want to use for invoices,
1) open the print dialog from the Invoice form (File/Print),
2) select Word template in print option area. Click the 'Template' button to
get the list of word templates available.

Note: To modify a template (e.g. insert your own logo, change font's, layout
fields etc. go to 'Manage Word Template...' under Company menu)

I hope this helps...

Confused

Is there a way you can have this work from the print button on the form?
I can export to the word template but it doesn't use the template from the
print button. Having to export every sales order and invoice to word is a
pain and time consuming.. I tried to locate the Sales Order template the
'print button' uses but it doesn't seem to use a form at all. Figured this
would be an easy work around but it's not working either.

Use the print command on the file menu instead of the print toolbar button.
The menu command will open a print dialog. Click the radio button for word
templates. Then click the templates button to select the template you want.

The print button on the form skips the print screen and automatically picks
the print options that were used the last time you printed through the print
dialog. Once you've gone through the print once to pick the template you
want, then the button should pick that template from then on.

Hope this helps.

To use the custom word template from print icon on the form

1. Launch invoice and select File Print
2. Select Word templates and select the word template you wish to print
3. Click print
4. From now on the word template selected in step 2 will be used if you use
print icon on the Form

The same template will be applied for Export to word as well.
