USA SMLLC selling biz but EIN transfer to buyer

Have a SMLLC with a liquor license - owner is selling business. EIN needs to transfer to new owner for license to remain in place.

Transfer cannot be an asset sale because of the continuing EIN, but how to handle a "stock sale" with a SMLLC?

- Form 8594 still required?

- Balance sheet transfers to new owner?
