Hello

Just joined your forum and am happy to be here :)

I have a question I hope someone can help with

Im currently over pension age so I get a state pension but im also still working as a sole trader.

I understand when I fill in my tax return that I add the pension value, but we are close to the vat threshold of £70,000, my question is do I include pension as turnover for vat purposes?, or would pension money not count to the 70k threshold?.

I hope you understand my question
Thankyou
Darren

It's only the taxable supplies of goods or services that you make that count towards the VAT registration threshold. Your penson income is relevant for your personal tax return but not for VAT purposes.
