State taxes - move from MD to VA

I was wondering if someone can help me out with these tax
questions. I moved from MD to VA last year - so what forms
should I be filling for the state returns (part-year or
fullyear?).

Unfortunately I did not get any W2's for VA - I only have
one from MD. Should I have both?

Thanks

You file with both states as a part year resident.

Yes, you should. Either you didn't tell your employer you
moved or failed to notice that they didn't change your
withholding. You'll get a refund from MD and will have to
pay VA the whole amount they're due. And be sure to check
your present withholding to make sure it's VA. If they're
still withholding for MD that can be corrected as long as
they do it by 12/31/2004.
