I have one register and am adding a second. Is wireless networking suitable
for the second register or should I use ethernet

I'd hardwire it. Wireless isn't nearly as stable and usually not as fast as
a wired connection. I wouldn't recommend using it in a business environment
for something that depends on constant access to the database.

I'll second that.
Wired is the preferred solution. Wireless can be used when wiring is
impossible or impractical, but you will end up in off line mode much
more often. The speed of the wireless connection is usually OK for RMS,
but RMS is hyper sensitive to connection loss.

I tried running wireless registers and gave up on it. Wiring was a
challenge, but in the end it was the only way to really make it work.

If wireless were ever to be acceptable, it would be with register #2 where
register #1 was hardwired. Having the dongle on a wireless PC is problematic.

I use wireless to connect my back office manager to the database with no
problems, but not my registers.
