I'm up in the air about tax software this year. Thinking of abandoning
Turbotax on the Web for a boxed product.Have had only minor problems with
Turbotax online over the years, but don't feel any loyalty bond. Seems with
the competition between TaxCut and Turbotax there are some nice package
deals. Would appreciate any opinions on this.

Consider TaxCut standard if you just want federal, and TaxCut Deluxe
if you want the state downloadable too.

I would not feel comfortable with web-based tax prep.

With the box package at least you get rebates and MS-
money 2004 cheaper or free. One store last year offered
a free US$19 shredder with any taxcut/ms-money purchase.
And full rebate on the ms-money box.

I'm in Australia, where the tax department has fre eTax software. In Britain
TaxCalc very well recommended.
