I have recently emigrated from Ireland to Australia. I have rented out my home in Ireland as a private rental. My question is regarding how much tax I need to pay to revenue on the rental. I have listed below of my understanding of the figures. I know they may not be 100% but if you could tell me if my formula is correct.
Gross rental income €10,800 over 12 months
Mortgage interest €5025.00 @ 75%
Repair and maintenance €0
Mortgage Protection €300.00
Telephone ( tenant pays )
TV & Cable ( tenant pays )
Waste ( tenant pays )
PRTB €90.00
Letting fees 0
Bank charges €100.00
Light & heating ( tenant pays )
Property Insurance €480.00
Fixtures and fitting wear and tear €1875 Property contents insurance €15.000 x 12.5 %
Total expenditure €3045.00
Plus mortgage interest €5025
Total €8070.00
Less rental €10.800
Total €2730 x 20% tax as I am a non resident = €545.00
Is €545.00 what i have to pay to revenue?
If i need anymore information I would be grateful thanks
Regards
