Good afternoon Kay,

Your post is still not showing up.

Did you change anything? If so it could take 48 hours to take affect.

Also, if you don't mind could you post your company name, or the first part
of your company name, so I can take a look to see if I see anything that
may be causing the problem.

If you don't want to post it here please contact Technical Support to open
a support request and have them get me your company name:
https://mbs.microsoft.com/support/newstart.aspx or by calling MBS support
at: 1-888-400-4266.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Todd,

Happy Thanksgiving.

The company starts with W---kids. Hope it works now.

I had email notification and links that took me back here. Please let me
know if you found it.

Good morning Kay,

Thank you for that information.

According to your account the email address you are posting with in this
newsgroup is (e-mail address removed); and this is NOT the email
address you have set up to be monitored in CustomerSource | Newsgroups |
Managed Newsgroups.

Please change the email to be monitored to (e-mail address removed);
and then post a message and I will see if it shows up. Note that it may
take 48 hours for this change to take effect.

Thank you in advance.

Todd,
Thanks for getting back. No!....I just signed in as (e-mail address removed),
that's the registered email. If you clicked on my name, you'll also see that
the record also started on Nov. 22, much later than the time I started
posting here. Nov 22 was the date I switched from the Hotmail account to my
registered email account. I also had gone into Express Outlook as Jeff
showed me and read the forum messages in a different format.

After registration, I got email from MS to follow the link to verify, and
everything went well....

What is still not right?....

Good afternoon Kathy,

Thank you for the update.

Your posts are showing up as coming from (e-mail address removed); and
this is the 'Display E-mail address' that is set in your Community Profile
which can be found by clicking on the button next to Sign Out on the
Discussions in Microsoft Business Solutions Retail Management System page:
http://www.microsoft.com/Businesssolutions/Community/Newsgroups/dgbrowser/en
-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.pos&lang=en&cr=US

The 'Display E-mail address' must match what is set for your 'Email to be
monitored' in CustomerSource; and can you please let me know what you find
is listed for your 'Email to be monitored' via the following steps:

1. Launch CustomerSource.

2. Click Newsgroups.

3. Click Managed Newsgroups.

If your 'Email to be monitored' is not showing as
(e-mail address removed) please change it to
(e-mail address removed).

Thank you in advance.

Kay,
You may already understand this from Todd's reply, but...

There's a difference between the passport you use to log into Customer
Source and the email address that is listed as the reply to address on your
posts. In Outlook Express, you can use the "Reply" button (as opposed to
the "Reply Group" button) to open an email directly to the poster. If you
try Replying to one of your own posts, you'll see the address that's being
used - or if you scroll down in this reply you'll see it listed in the "...
Wrote in message..." area. In the Web posting system, I believe you can
enter the addres you want to use on each post - not sure, I've only posted
from that system once. In Outlook Express, you set the email address to be
used in the Account Properties.

Generally, it's not a really good idea to post to newsgroups using a real
mail account, as spammers scan the groups looking for addresses. Instead,
it's common to mask the address in some way that is easy for a human
responder to correct, but isn't easy for a spammer to catch in bulk.

So, it's a good idea for you to continue posting using the fake address that
you are using, or something else that's not exactly valid. You need to
change your registered address in the Managed Newsgroup system to match
whatever you setup Outlook Express to use, so that Todd and company are
alerted to your posts. This address has nothing to do with the Passport
account you use to log into Customer Source - it's just a flag for the
support team...

Alright, I obviously have missed the last part of Todd's message!...I'm
always in a rush to plough through this massive website while struggling with
my stations and the HQ.

Let me start from the beginning again, and report back in a few days!...

Thanks for your patience!...Happy Holidays!...

Oh, I think I finally got it.

Alas, when I registered, I didn't know what it meant by "enter email address
to be monitored"....where and how and for what?....

By the time I found my way here, I already forgot about that little box.
Who thought it would find a way to link with the posts here. Afterall, this
is, supposedly, a public forum!...

I hope you can use me as a test case to find a better way to reach your new
customers!...
