I noticed in IRS Form 536 on net operating losses that a small business can
take a three year carryback on net operating losses for a presidentially
declared disaster. Is there any three year carryback for 2000 and later
years due to 9/11? Does this carryback only apply to businesses in the
vicinity of New York that were directly affected? Are there any other
circumstances that would make the three year carryback apply from 2000 on?
