Threshold of incapacity question

Just been told that as I have what is considered a severe illness or certain
disability which is treated as meeting the threshold of incapacity.
Therefore I do not need to undergo a Personal Capability Assessment to
qualify for Incapacity Benefit.

On almost the very same day I'm told I do not qualify for DLA.

My question is this, another reason to qualify as meeting the threshold for
incapacity is if you are in receipt of DLA so are these decisions
contradicting each other?

Appreciate any help.

No - the IB capability test is establishing whether you can work, DLA
are looking at whether you need caring for or have difficulty with
mobility. There is no inherent contradiction with the decisions though
there could be contradictions within the detail.
