Transfer Shares and $0 Cost basis

I'm running Quicken 2005 H&B. Recently I consolidated two IRA accounts. In
Quicken I went to the account transactions sheet for the account I was
closing and selected 'enter transaction'. I then selected 'Shares
Transferred Between Accounts' in the dropdown and specified 'all
securities', and then selected the account the shares were to be transferred
to. Everything went as expected, the shares are now in the other account
and the closed account has a $0 balance.

Now to the problem. When I look at the portfolio view, the shares I
transferred over show a $0 cost basis. Isn't there a way to transfer cost
basis?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Does anyone know how I might fix this?
I just did a quick test transferring All Securities from one
account to another (two securities were involved). Seemed to
work fine; cost shows up correctly in Portfolio View and
transaction report. I don't know what your problem could be.

John,

Oddly enough, I decided to delete the transfer transactions and do the
transfers one at a time and this time the cost basis was transfered over. I
thought maybe it was a bug with the 'all securities' selection so setup a
test file and tried it.. and the cost basis transfered over just fine as
you've reported. Guess I'll just throw this into the 'Things that make you
go hmm..' bin and move on.

Thanks for the help,
Jeff
