Trial version not backward compatible

Seamus Slowey

I use Money 2002. Recently downloaded trial edition
(version 11?). This removed 2002 and upgraded money data
file. When I finished trial and try to go back to 2002,
the file is not backward compatible - it prompts for
password. Other than exporting to QIF is there a way
to "rollback" the data file.

Virtually no software is backwards compatible - why would Money be any

When you converted your M2002 file to M2003 Money made a copy of your file
and saved it in the same directory as *.mny. Go and look for *.m11 (if I
remember correctly) and rename that to *.mny. You will have to re-input all
transactions since you converted.
