Tuition and Fees deduction

I was very disappointed after purchasing Money 2004 to
find out that it does not include the tuition and fees
deduction calculation. Before I return it, I thought I
would ask - has anyone figured out how to account for
this in Money?

According to the IRS this is an above-the-line deduction,
but the only field that would possibly work in Money is
the miscellaneous deductions field, but I don't think
that is the right spot.

Would appreciate any help people have to offer.

We're talking paying tuition and fees in Money Standard or Deluxe?

Create your own category(ies) and setup the tax line reporting right and all
should be well.

What miscellaneous deductions "field" are you talking about?

Aha. Now I understand your question. You could pick another line that's
close. Alternately, you could take the tax **estimator** value and do your
own adjustment. There's probably only so far they'll ever go with tax
estimator--tax laws being as fluid and goofy as they are.

You can go to http://support.microsoft.com and select the contact link to
open a support case. This is as close as you can get to a bug reporting
service, though they acknowledge very, very few bugs and then only
begrudgingly.

For how to make a wish, see http://www.bollar.org/msmoney/#Q66.
