TurboTax activation?

Does TurboTax require some sort of product activation? I know it did a
couple of years ago, about the time I switched to TaxCut. But I want to
do my taxes on a Mac this year, and TurboTax finally has a cheap Mac
version, so I want to switch back.. but only if no activation is
required.

I use TurboTax for the PC and installed the latest version. There's no
product activation.

For the one year when product activation was used, Intuit later provided a
way to get rid of that. It worked for me.

(For the Mac, I thought there never was any.)
