UK Type of accounts to use in accounting

Hi,

I am not an accountant. I was wondering what type of accounts are used when selling goods to someone. Technically, I am buying some equipments and reselling them. Xero only provide Sales as accounts. Is it right to put it under Sales?

Sales purchases and inventory accounts would be needed to complete your basic inventory requirements. Do let me know if you need any help to setup these accounts
