USA Type of company for just starting out

I’m looking to switch careers. I’d be venturing into the accounting field without prior work experience or much related coursework (take that to mean 2 undergraduate courses). Currently, my plans are to find an entry-level job close to the school I want to enroll in for my license. While I’m interested in audit, I’d like to work somewhere that also does say taxation and managerial accounting. I need a company that provides a good depth and breadth of service areas. My questions for you are:

What type and size of company am I looking for? Local/regional public account firm, mid/large-sized company with an accounting department?

What job title terms should I look out for? Accounting assistant, clerk, bookkeeper?

Also, know I don’t care too much about the pay. I can live on little for the time being.
