UK UK - "Work for hire" from USA

Hi Guys,

Im doing comics book work, one issue for US company, im based in UK, Im not selfemplyed. They gave me "Work Made for Hire" I did only one issue, they send me payment via bank transfer.

How should I tax it?

it was only one simply work, it took me one day. Work was done via Internet.

Thank you.

PS. They didn't send me any Tax form.

Do you normally fill in a tax return? If you do, you should include it on Other Income not included on Supplementary Pages in Box 16.

If you don't normally fill in a tax return you can elect to do so voluntarily.

What if Ill get more "work made for hire" work from US? Like each month.

Do I need to be selfemplye or LCC?

I don't have any Vat etc. they just gave me "work made for hire" agreement. They send me money for it and that's all...

If you're likely to get more work you should register as self employed.
