Unmarried couple co-sharing expenses while living together tax obligation

An unmarried couple is living together in a home 100% owned by partner A and partner B wants to contribute money towards living expenses. If partner B gifts partner A a set amount each month that is just under the gift threshold for the year would any additional money given to cover shared expenses have to be claimed in partner A’s taxes? (For groceries, utilities etc.)
