SUV placed into service in 2019 - paid 17k. Looking to use bonus depreciation option. vehicle is also used for personal commuting. What do I need to consider?

Irrespective of the type of depreciate you are using, only the % of the value of purchase price of the car that is used for business purposes can be depreciated.
