I thought it would be interesting to see which is the most popular occupation of members on this forum! If you run your own practice, feel free to share a link (existing members only - no newbies).

My background is in tax - more specifically employment taxes. I worked for Grant Thornton in the UK for 6 years, during which time I qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA). In my spare time I'm into amateur photography and drawing, and I'm also a bit of a bookworm.

How about you? :)

I work for a major US life insurance company for the past 18 years and have oversight for the accounting of its foreign operations. In this role, I need to be up to date with US GAAP, IFRS, US Statutory (unique for US insurers) and also locally mandated insurance regulations in each foreign jurisdiction.
