I have scoured the documentation and can't seem to find it. Where can I set
the captions for the fields on the Customer Additional Tab? I have set then
in the Customcaption table to what I need, but I would still like to know
where the heck I can set those from within HQ Manager.

Butch,

Sorry, no option to do that. I think that Retail Realm www.retairealm.co.uk has an option to do it in their HQ Utilities package.

Thanks for the reply,

I didn't think so, but was having a heck of a time believing it.

Hi There,

I can't see any button in HQ but there is table called CustomCaption.
You can change it manually:

UPDATE CustomCaption SET Caption='YourCaption' WHERE StyleNumber=X

Where X is number between 1 and 33:
1 - 5: CustomerTextField 1-5
6 - 10: CustomerNumberFields 1-5
11 - 15: CustomerDateFields 1-5
15 - 33: Other custom captions(supplier, items)

REMEMBER !!!
Do backup before you execute any queries !!!

Thanks,
Arthur

Custom Captions

Don't know if this will help, seeing as it's not in HQ, but you can create custom captions in Store Manager under File > Configuration > Captions.
