Why upgrade Money 03 to 04?

John

Being a software developer I have no problem with upgrading, but I'm having
a problem upgrading from Money 2003 to 2004. Namely I see no changes or
improvements to the software.

Is there anyone that could give a viable reason to upgrade from Money 03 to
04?

I get money free each year with taxcut purchase.
Old cd's are added to cd sculpture in computer room.
Get free new year of updates on investments etc.

What you get free is the standard package, not deluxe, right? The standard
package doesn't allow investment tracking, if I read the features correctly.
This drastically reduces its usefulness.

Mike you're correct. All I see different about Money this year is that it's
been broken out into versions; Standard, Deluxe, and Premium. The Premium is
last years deluxe version for double the money with absolutely no
enhancements...of course, I'm hoping someone can prove me wrong.

taxcut std + free money std

and you did not read footnote 3.......

Online services valid two or three years from first use.
Online bill pay, downloading transactions from your
financial institution, downloading stock quotes, and the
ability to synchronize with MSN® Money Plus or MSN Money
expire two years from first use of Microsoft Money
Standard or September 1, 2006, whichever is earlier.

I think that Money 2004 is faster; it not tie up as much computer resources
as the older versions of money.

On that web page you referenced, the box "Track your investments" (I used the
phrase "investment tracking") is checked for deluxe, but not for standard. Does
that mean no portfolios, investment reports, etc? I believe this would
drastically reduce the usefulness of the standard package.

FWIW,

I think The display in my local CompUSA had MS Money Deluxe for $39.95, and
a $40 rebate when buying with Tax Cut. (But this was December 31, and I try
not to notice such things until after the first of the year.)

Interesting...not one person in this ng could give a reason to upgrade from
03 to 04.

I can use msn money plus and synchronize my portfolio now. The capital
gains module of the Premium product seems to help.
