Windows 7 Compatibility

The Microsoft Windows 7 Compatibility Center says that Money Plus Deluxe is
not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. I seem to recall reading in this forum
that someone was running M+D successfully in the Windows 7 environment.
Does anyone have a definite answer? Thanks.

Both Vista and W7 are picky about where you keep your data files. The old
Program Files tree will not cut it. You need to store them in a folder in
your Documents tree. Also first time you run Money right click on the Money
icon and select Run as Administrator. First time only.

There have been posts from users running versions way back to 2002 under
Vista and W7.

No reason has ever been identified for why Microsoft's list says what it
says. I'm running it here on Win7 U x64 just fine near as I can tell.

I have been running it sine August of 2009. Is it compatible ?? A very good
question !!
I have no problem in general running Money in windows 7. However, I do have
some nuisance issue with Money and windows 7.
Fairly commonly , the money does not seem to respond and I get a message
asking whether I want to close the program (Money) or wait.
If I select wait, it always end up responding but it takes a little while
sometimes. Most of the time it is a minor issue since the wait is quite
short almost just a hesitation at times.
So short at times that the message will not appear.
Now and then it becomes an irritant as the wait can be way to long.
I never had any of this hesitation running money in WinXP and does not have
any of it running Quicken in Windows 7.
I'm running Money and Quicken both since I'm eventually planning to be using
Quicken assuming I like it.

PS: So far I clearly prefer Money over Quicken
