Can officers of a non-profit org withdraw from the account of organization at keep it as cash?

I know there are some special rules about accessing the money of a non-profit organization by its officers. Do you know if they can withdraw the money from the account and keep it as cash? What are the rules regarding the account. For example if it contains donations from people.
