Summary of facts:
-Recently graduated from college with a diploma in Bus. Admin - Acc
-Accounting was never really a career I wanted to pursue, just a good
idea at the time.
-Have had brief experience doing some accounting duties, hated it.
-got a position in a local accounting firm
-Great people, seems to be a good environment, decent pay and benefits.
-bookkeeper
This job is awesome, everything I ever wanted in starting my career
but..... with all that said within the first 2 of weeks I find myself,
not wanting to stay working in the place, with the urge to quit.
Its not that I don't like to work, work hard, I would just like to do
something that I'd rather enjoy, atleast some what. Heck, I even
enjoyed working at McD's more than this. I am a semi-creative person
and I find it too difficult to perform this job.
This is not a case of the "new job jitters", those feeling have mostly
passed, but rather I feel trapped working here when I still need to
find out what I want to do.
Already dreading the upcomming tax season, where I will have to work
ultra long hours, maybe I am alittle burned out from constantly
working to put myself through college etc.
If someone could offer some practical advice it would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks
