I think Elizabeth _really_ meant notepad! ;-)



Save a copy. Then open a copy in notebook and edit away.

Thanks I did that, but how do I save as a xml doc..I can only seem to beabel
to save it as a text doc

Bill,

If you copied the original and edited it with notepad, all you should have
to do is save it. It should stay an XML file. You will then need to rename
the original "oldreceipt" or something like that and change the name of your
edited one to the originals name. You should be good to go.

I did . Thanks for clearing that up!. That's what I get for doing two
things at once.

Notepad is like that... On the save as change the drop down box that
says "Text Files" to "All File Types (*.*). This will stop Notepad from
adding the .txt extension to the end of your filename.
