Hello: Will someone explain to me how is the best way to do a Year-End
format with the quicken program 2003 version.
We have several years of data that I can not afford to lose, so I do
not wish to experiment

Thank-You in advance!

Make a back up copy of your data and 'play' with that (you won't lose any
data this way) using either START A NEW YEAR (which I like) or ARCHIVE
(which many others like). Both are under FILE-->FILE OPERATIONS-->YEAR END
COPY.

Others will say there's no reason to even DO a year-end 'format'. This is
an area which is ripe with choices that you might like but others do not.
As mentioned, even the need to do *anything* is debatable.
