This doesn't make any sense to me.
Retained Earnings can be calculated from your financials, so that's why you see it.
Dividends are not a calculation, they are a decision. The Board of a Corporation decides to pay dividends based on the Corporation's financials, so then it becomes entries in the books that ultimate close out to Equity.
Asking where dividends is, or how much it is, is kind of like asking us where furniture is, or company cars in the books. If you didn't buy any furniture or cars, then the answer is ... nowhere, because they don't exist. If you did buy furniture or cars, then you should know where they are. It's the same with dividends.
