India Need to fix QuickBooks Data file error 6123.

Folks, I was using QuickBooks Version 2012 & recently I update it to latest version 2022.Installation has been done smoothly, but I am not able to restore my old data backup. I have all database backup file to upload but getting Error 6123.

Try to Move the Company file to a new location.

If the path of the folder in which your company file is located is too long or complicated, the software might have trouble accessing it. A simple solution to this problem is moving the company file to a new location. You can try copying the file to the desktop and see if it resolves the issue. Here are the steps to follow:



1-Navigate to the folder where your company file is located

2-Search files that have the same file name as your company name but with QBW extension.

3-Right-click on file and click Copy

4-Navigate to desktop. Right-click anywhere on the desktop and click Paste

5-Hold down Ctrl key and open QuickBooks. This will take you to No Company Open window

6-Select Open and navigate to the desktop

7-Select the company file that you had copied to Desktop.



I hope it will fix this error.
