UK Budget holders and sign off

Do you think it is good practice to get the budget holders to sign off on budget to confirm they agree and are held accountable? Not least for accurate revenue projections.

They will be revenue budgets only (no costs). They are sales guys

Is there a partculuar template for this kind of exercise?

By virtue of being the budget holder they likely are held accountable for them whether they sign something or not, because whilst they should be challenging, they should also be realistic. All sorts of other things are forecast depending upon revenue, and if revenue budgets are unrealistic it can cause a business to go under.
