C.G Tax

Hi, just wondering if any one can help on this one. My husband has been living overseas for 10 years my self for eight years. We would like to sell our u.k property, that's been rented out for 4 years. Are we liable to pay C.G tax on the property, would we have to live again in the property to avoid paying C.G tax ?
