USA DC/VA/MD Relocation Tax Question

I've just relocated to the DC metro area from CA for a job. I am staying with extended family for a month in MD until I can move into an apartment in VA. I work in DC. The month I'm living in MD I will make roughly $5,000. I don't believe I will owe any MD taxes and claimed exemption on my MD tax form. Is this correct?
I completed line 4 of the MD tax form, but looking back, I think I should have completed line 3b.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Yes, I would say do 3b, you can just ask the employer for a new form and resubmit
