Greetings, I had a FSA dependent care account for $5,000 that I used completely on dependent care. But I had only 1 dependent for which the federal limit is $3,000. So I had to add $,2000 to my federal income and thereby my Income increased by 2K. My question is: For New York State filing, am thinking the limit is $5,000 and not $,3000. So I can reduce New York state income by $2,000. Is this accurate? And if so would you please let know where in IT 203 do I show the subtractions. Am guessing it should be in New York state subtractions but I am not sure whether I should add an additional form . Any help is appreciated.
