I am trying to help a friend resolve a tax questin regarding nonstatutory stock option. On her W2 in box 12 indicate (V) and amount of $226,000.00. Her last payroll statement has an amount of $139,000.00 and a difference of $86,000.00. What amount is report on her income tax beside the $226,000.00.

Thanks

Those amounts are huge - you would be a real friend to advise her to have a tax professional do the return. The $226K is income so I think she can afford it.
