It would appear (in fact it does) that per the IRS website at least today that "preparers cannot schedule appointments for testing at this time because (they are) still finalizing the test regulations..which should be available late this month, etc."
My question is this: What if the exams "all of a sudden" come-out before one can register to take the exam since, and again this too is from the IRS website: "Preparers who register *before the exams* are available will have until 12/31/2013 to pass."
So if the exams come-out before one registers to take the exam is that to indicate that one has only until a date prior to 12/31/2013 to pass?
I am already registered with my renewed PTIN for the 2012 tax-year.
