Hi I am high school senior and I would like to get into college and get a master in accounting. Is accounting a carrer with future and I too would like to know your toughts and oppinions about accounting and you guys carrers tips.

Yes, there will be accountants in the future. Make money or lose money, you need someone to keep an eye on the money and how it's flowing around the firm. The work may be more advisory and consulting-type work and less bookkeeping/statement generation, given technology like AI. But firms always need someone looking after the cash.

I think you're spot on there. I was at an accountancy conference just back in Dec and there was a session around what the future of accountancy looks like. AI is going to be a massive part of it. It's not going to replace accountants, but it's going to change the landscape of the role into more strategic/advisory.

Bookkeepers’ and junior accountants’ work might get replaced by AI and automated accounting systems but accountants do more than just entering transactions in the accounting records and balancing books. Accountants do analysis and help management with important decisions making. So yes accountants’ work will be still relevant. You may look into management accounting, cost accounting and other accounting branches to decide career choices. AI will likely be a big part of it so it’s important to learn how AI will affect the industry and how you can use it to make work faster and more efficient.
