Hello everyone. Unfortunately, My wife and I came to the decision of filling for divorce. We don't have any properties that we bought together during our marriage. I went to court today to get the divorce package and they told me that it will take about to months for them to grant us the dissolution of our marriage which mean that we will still be married at the first month of 2013. My questions are: in 2013 when my wife or I fill our income tax form do we have to fill as married since we started 2013 as being married? Can we fill as single if by the time it comes to do our income tax we are divorce? Thank very much for your answers

In 2013 if you are legally divorced as of 12 / 31 / 2013 then irs considers you unmarried for all of 2013. Your reference is irs publication 504. Sorry about the divorce...
