Purchased modular housing for VP to stay when visiting construction of new manufacturing facility. Could we capitalize all furnishings for the mobile home including linens, dishes, etc?

No. And for the same reason that things like staplers aren't capitised either.

You just follow your existing capitalization policy. So if policy says capitalize purchases over $500 and dishes cost $501 then you can capitalize that.
