USA Income for an LLC

I am a 1099 employee for a health insurance company. I am told there are advantages of opening an LLC so I am considering it because it provides an EIN number which some sites require. I would like to maintain a flow of money into my personal account for expenses outside of the business. If I continue to deposit my check into my personal account, can I transfer a portion of that to the LLC Business account?
